Grade Selection Guide.

Use the following guide to estimate the optimal class to enter. A screen test will be administered to all students on the first day of school to move students at the bottom and top of the ranking to define the classes, with approval from Parents.

1A 6-7 born before May 1, 2000
1B 7-8 from 1A, or completed elementary school grade 1
2A 7-9

from 1A or studied Viet before, can read TA, BÍ, DÙ
2B-F 7-8 B

from 1B, or

using Vietnamese at home, but cannot write Vietnamese; or

repeating grade 2;
8-10 C
10-12 D
13-14 E
15-18 F
3A-D 8-10 A

can read CHÚ, TÊN, THỊT, TÁT, NHÁT; or

from grade 2 last summer; or

repeating grade 3
10-12 B
13-14 C
15-18 D
4A-B 9-12 A

can read XANH, TĂNG, LINH, BỊCH, TUÂN, LUẬT

from any grade 3 last summer, or repeat grade 4
13-18 B
